Flood Watch For Lake Forest As Stormy Weather Returns To SoCal

LAKE FOREST, CA — County officials issued a flash flood warning for Lake Forest residents as a seasonal storm brings clouds, wind, rain and possibly thunder to Southern California.

The floor watch advisory will remain in place from late Tuesday night through Friday afternoon, with the heaviest rainfall expected to occur Tuesday and Thursday night.

The flood watch advisory affects a portion of Southern California, including all of Orange County, San Bernardino County mountains, San Bernardino and Riverside County valleys, the Inland Empire and Santa Ana Mountains and foothills.

“A storm system from the Pacific will bring occasional showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms, which could bring heavy rainfall,” National Weather Service officers wrote. “Rain rates could reach up to one inch per hour, especially Tuesday and Thursday nights.

Residents are encouraged to monitor later forecasts and be on the alert for emergency notifications.
