A representative for Panini Kabob Grill has confirmed that the healthy Mediterranean chain is opening two new restaurants at Westfield Culver City in late spring and Sunset Ave in Hollywood next summer.
What Now Los Angeles previously reported on PKG’s rapid growth throughout California and its planned locations in Marina del Rey, Sherman Oaks, Glendale and Pasadena.
We now know that the Sherman Oaks Westfield Fashion Square and MDR Villa Marina Marketplace stores will both open in January, and the PKG at Glendale Galleria Mall is slated for March/April. As for Pasadena, “We are currently actively searching Pasadena and evaluating several different options for the perfect location,” PKG told WNLA. PKG is also opening two new sites in San Diego next summer.
Owner Mike Rafipoor opened the first PKG in 1997 and has grown the company to over 20 open locations throughout Southern California. The brand focuses on healthier Mediterranean dishes such as freshly grilled kabobs, ka-boxes (all-in-one appetizer and entree), grilled paninis, pastas, hummus, tzatziki, falafel, soups, salads, wine and beer. They also have a large brunch menu with avocado toast, french toast, scrambles, omelets, wraps, sandwiches, coffee, juice and mimosas.
