A 3.2 magnitude earthquake struck the area near Avila Beach in San Luis Obispo County on Wednesday.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the quake struck at 12:05 p.m. about five miles northwest of the beach community at a depth of 3.8 miles.
USGS states it received reports of people feeling the earthquake from Salinas to Bakersfield to Santa Ana.
