The Dallas Cowboys have been up and down this season.

They have the personnel to go the distance in the playoffs for the most part, but it seems like they cannot leave anything to chance at this point.

With that in mind, Craig Carton and Willie Colon talked about whether they should make a run at Dalvin Cook.

Talking on The Carton Show, Craig Carton stated that Cook would be a perfect fit for what the Dallas Cowboys need right now.

“Dalvin Cook with the Dallas Cowboys makes a lot of sense,” Carton said.

Even though Jerry Jones claimed that the running game wouldn’t be an issue in the playoffs, the fact of the matter is that Tony Pollard has failed to establish himself as a legitimate bell-cow running back this season.

Carton thinks it could also be a matter of play-calling or the offensive line, but whatever the case, he’s just not getting the job done.

They believe Cook has fresh legs still, and truth be told, making a run at him sounds like a no-brainer, considering he’s not going to demand a steep pay and there’s literally no risk.

Cook had been one of the most efficient backs in the league just until this season when the Minnesota Vikings decided to part ways with him, and he was barely used by the New York Jets and their non-existent running game.

He’d be the ultimate low-risk/high-reward pickup and could give this team a much-needed change of pace back who could actually break some tackles and be a perennial contributor behind Dak Prescott.
