Marina police make arrest after mini-van and foot pursuit
Police say Ronald Lynn Moon of Marina, failed to stop when officers tried to pull him over on Reservation Road
A Marina man was arrested and booked into the Monterey County Jail after police say he drove recklessly, then led police on a car chase that finally ended on foot in a wooded area near East Garrison.It happened Thursday night at around 10:20 p.m. That’s when police say 41-year-old Ronald Lynn Moon of Marina, failed to stop when officers tried to pull him over on Reservation Road. After leading police on a chase in a minivan, Moon abandoned the vehicle and fled into a wooded area on foot.A K-9 from Seaside police and the Salinas Police Drone Unit were both called in to assist. Moon was found a short time later and taken into custody without incident. He was booked into the Monterey County Jail on multiple charges, including felony evading, possession of burglary tools, delaying/obstructing an officer, possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Moon also had an outstanding arrest warrant out of Santa Clara County.
