SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV)- As the calendar has officially turned to 2024, there will be some changes to the County of Monterey leadership.
Monterey County Supervisor Glenn Church is the new Board Chair for the Board of Supervisors. Church spoke during the meeting about becoming the board chair.
“Having worked with these four members of this board, I know they have unique abilities and I know we’re all capable of rising to the challenge and really getting some things accomplished,” Church said.
Supervisor Chris Lopez was selected as the board’s new Vice Chair.
Church was elected in 2022 as he defeated current Salinas Valley Meals on Wheel’s Executive Director Regina Gage. Lopez was elected to his seat in 2018.
