SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION-TV)- During their first board meeting of the year, the Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors voted Justin Cummings to serve as the board chair for 2024.

City officials confirmed that Cummings is the first African-American to serve as board chair for the Board of Supervisors.
