Two people escaped from a fire in their two-story home in Garden Grove on Sunday morning with the help of their neighbors.
According to the Orange County Fire Authority, firefighters were dispatched to a house in the 11400 Stanford Ave. (near 8th Street) at 10:42 a.m. where flames were showing out the first floor windows. They were able to contain the blaze to just one room in 13 minutes.
The occupants were able to evacuate out a second-story window with assistance from neighbors on the lawn below.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Garden Grove police assisted in getting people to safety.
