Got coffee? Padres’ Seoul Opening Series set for 3:05 a.m. starts

Padres fans planning to watch Seoul Opening Series in March from South Korea might want to stock up on caffeine.

Both of the Padres-Dodgers matchups are slated for 7:05 p.m. local first pitches, meaning the ESPN broadcasts are set for 3:05 a.m. in San Diego.

Game times released by Major League Baseball on Wednesday include the Padres hosting the Dodgers in the Cactus League opener on Feb. 22 at 12:10 p.m., the prospect spring breakout game against the Mariners minor leaguers on March 15 at 1:10 p.m. and the Padres’ home opener on March 28 against the Giants slated for 1:10 p.m.

The times were also announced for two spring exhibitions on March 25 (6:40 p.m.) and March 26 (1:10 p.m.).
