How to stream Warriors vs. Pelicans

The Golden State Warriors wrap up their 7-game homestand with Wednesday night’s matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans. The game will be played at 5:30 PM PT in San Francisco and can be watched on ABC and NBC Sports Bay Area.

Previously with the Warriors:

After bouncing back with a win over the Detroit Pistons on Friday, the Warriors once again fell flat in Sunday’s disappointing loss to the Toronto Raptors, 133-118. The injury to point guard Chris Paul forced Warriors coach Steve Kerr to make another change to his starting lineup. This time he opted to go with the wing tandem of Andrew Wiggins and Jonathan Kuminga alongside Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Trayce Jackson-Davis.

Although the lineup sounded good on paper, the results on the floor were a different story as the Warriors were outscored 76-49 in the first half. The team did go on a mini run after Kerr went away from that starting unit to begin the second half, however, it was still not enough as the Raptors buckled down and finished them off in the fourth quarter.

What to watch for tonight:

This will be Golden State’s second game against New Orleans after beating them in the fourth game of the season, 130-102. Curry was dominant that night, shooting 15-of-22 from the field and 7-of-13 from the three-point line for a total of 42 points.

However, a lot has changed for both teams since the beginning of the season. The Pelicans have found a rhythm, winning five of their last six games for a record of 22-15 (6th in the Western Conference standings). Although their star trio of CJ McCollum, Zion Williamson, and Brandon Ingram are all averaging above 20 points per game, it’s been the Pelicans’ defense, which ranks sixth in the NBA in defensive rating (111.6), that has carried the team as of late.

Meanwhile, the Warriors continue to spiral downwards with a disastrous 2-4 record during this recent seven-game homestand. The suspension to Draymond Green, various injuries, and a general aura of uncertainty within the team have contributed to their overall lack of continuity on the court. The Warriors begin a four-game road trip after tonight’s matchup, so it will be interesting to see if they can muster up the energy to end this homestand on a high note.

It should be a fun game. Enjoy the basketball Dub Nation. GO WARRIORS!!!
