Mets Fans React To Potential 2024 Lineup

The New York Mets are coming off a disappointing season.

They entered 2023 with expectations of winning the National League.

Instead, they could not even make it to the playoffs.

The Mets fell on their face last season by winning 75 games and finishing in fourth place in the NL East.

So it was clear the Mets needed to put a more competitive roster on the field in 2024.

Yet, they have not done much to improve so far this offseason.

The projected Mets lineup for next season looks very similar to the one they had in 2023.

According to SNY Mets, the projected Mets lineup has been posted and all of their key players are expected to return.

Many Mets fans are not thrilled with this projected lineup.

They think they could benefit from adding at least another quality hitter or two.

They’re a bat short. Need Soler, JD, or Justin Turner.

Luckily for the Mets, there are still good players available on the open market.

It will be interesting to see what the Mets front office does.

If this is indeed the lineup they go into the season with many of their fans will not be happy.

Playing in the NL East, you need to have offensive firepower.

But, this current Mets lineup does not have much of it.

Feel like I’ve seen this lineup before, oh wait I have… only difference is Bader is this years Tommy Pham, 75 wins and another boring September/October here we go

It is safe to say there is not much optimism surrounding the Mets.

In recent years the Mets have been bitten by the injury bug.

That has been part of their downfall.

So if they do not add some better hitters, the Mets could be in for another disappointing season.
