After a 12-game suspension and counseling, veteran forward Draymond Green is set to make his return to the Golden State Warriors, which will be a welcome boost for the team that is currently two games below .500.
During his lengthy suspension, Green reportedly considered retirement, as he didn’t know how he’d deal with playing the game a different way or dealing with all the outside noise.
Fortunately for the Warriors, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver helped convince Green to continue his playing career, and now he’ll return to the Warriors and try to keep head coach Steve Kerr happy because he’s not accepting any more explanations from the troubled forward about his behavior, via NBCS Warriors and Ball Don’t Lie.

It seems abundantly clear at this point that Green is out of chances, and there may be a zero-tolerance policy in the Bay Area moving forward, with the Warriors potentially fed up with dealing with all the unnecessary drama, especially during a season like this with the team struggling to get back on track.
The Warriors need Green now more than ever, with Golden State really struggling to compete in a highly competitive Western Conference.
Golden State has been playing .500 basketball as of late, with five wins in their last 10 games, but things need to get kicked into high gear at this point, with the Warriors approaching the second half of the regular season.
Along with the return of Green, the Warriors could elect to be busy at the NBA trade deadline, with rumors swirling about the team’s interest in Pascal Siakam of the Toronto Raptors.
