NOVA Easy Kombucha unveils a new drink in collaboration with the San Diego State University men’s basketball team, naming it the Azteks Raspberry Kombucha.
Recently, the drink was officially released along with some players from the SDSU men’s basketball team via the MESA Foundation, which is an official partner of San Diego State.
According to NOVA Founder Tiago Carneiro, five percent of all sales of this newly unveiled drink will be donated to MESA Foundation in support of student-athletes at SDSU.
Carneiro says that the brewery has an appreciation not just for local sports, but for SDSU sports who represent the city of San Diego.
“We love San Diego sports, especially San Diego State sports,” Tiago Carneiro said about the company’s embracing of local teams. “It was an honor to host the players and we hope San Diegans will find their kombucha creation to be championship caliber, just like their play on the court.”
The new Azteks Raspberry Kombucha is now available on draft and in four-packs at all NOVA Brewery locations, including NOVA Ocean Beach, the NOVO headquarters location in Chula Vista, Otay Ranch Town Center, and the new NOVO Imperial Beach. The NOVO Mission Valley will also have the new drink when it officially opens soon.
Azteks Raspberry up to 6% ABV, and is gluten free, vegan, and naturally fermented like the rest of their drink products. This new drink is set to have a mix taste of lemonade onto its main raspberry flavor.
At the recent collaboration day, SDSU players like Lamont Butler, Jaedon LeDee, Micah Parrish, and Cade Alger were some of the name who attended the gathering at the NOVO Chula Vista headquarters taproom.
The players also contributed to the drink’s brand packaging design, and received first-hand witness experience of the brew-making process.
Retail outlets throughout San Diego County will also start selling four packs later this month.
