BUELLTON, Calif.– The nearly century-old Pea Soup Andersen’s restaurant in Buellton is closed for future redevelopment.

According to Milt Guggia Enterprises Inc. in Santa Maria, the historic restaurant is looking to redevelop and eventually reopen the site and will provide more details once a decision has been made.

The adjacent Pea Soup Andersen’s Inn, which has a different ownership than the restaurant, will remain open for weary travelers confirmed employees at the hotel.

Pea Soup Andersen’s of Santa Nella will also remain open during the redevelopment detailed the Manager of the location in a phone conversation with your News Channel.

According to the Santa Barbara County Assessor’s Office, there has been no notification to their office of either a change in ownership or major construction, a requirement for either to commence.
